Joe Stewart President & CEO

Mr. Stewart has over 30 years of broad banking experience virtually all in the metro Phoenix market. This includes 13 years in executive leadership roles with JPMorgan Chase and Bankers Trust. He has a proven
track record as a key executive in building primarily commercial banking business. Mr. Stewart was with JPMorgan Chase and its predecessor organizations for 28 years serving as Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan Chase Arizona from 2007-2014. Responsibilities involved managing and successfully growing Chase Bank’s substantial C&I business. Responsibilities also included leading other areas of the Bank to grow the entire Chase franchise. Prior Chase responsibilities also included development of the Chase equipment leasing business. Most recently, Mr. Stewart has served as Arizona Market President for Bankers Trust from 2015-2020. In addition to directing the overall strategy and business development in the Arizona market a particular focus was leading the rapid growth of the Bank’s C&I business.

Mr. Stewart has excellent experience in creating and driving both growth strategies and the successful execution of these strategies. Driving the development and growth of Gainey Business Bancorp while enhancing shareholder returns will be the key focus. Mr. Stewart will also drive a culture of prudent lending decisions, with superior customer service. He has the proper combination of a growth focus, exceeding financial targets while also protecting the Bank’s balance sheet.

Mr. Stewart has served on the Executive Board of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (OPEC), the Greater Phoenix Leadership (GPL), ASU-Downtown University Board and the Valley of the Sun United Way-Homelessness Council.

Mr. Stewart graduated from the University of Massachusetts (Lowell) with a B.S. in Marketing and an MBA from Arizona State University
